Pros of American Express
This app is a lifesaver; with this American Express app, you no longer have to spend time on exporting your transactions into QuickBooks Online and then matching them. The seamless and error free integration allows you to keep track of all transactions right in QuickBooks.
Another much appreciated feature is the option to get all individual employee card transactions into the main account, saving the effort required to track them individually.
Cons of American Express
Although it’s free and there is no charge for using it, this app is practically useless unless you have enrolled for American Express OPEN and Receipt-match; so you need to be sure of what services you have opted for on your business card before downloading the app.
Another thing that we think could be an issue for users is initial setup and sync issues. Quite often we had to reinstall the app repeatedly as the transactions were not being imported properly.
Coming to their customer support, the long waiting to just be connected to a customer support agent can be really frustrating.
